The Affordable Art Fair - Brisbane soon!

Exciting news to share! Meet Horse, Clark + Co, a collective of Sydney-based artists whose shared passion for the vibrant expression of colour and form is deeply rooted in the diverse landscapes and seascapes of Australia. Founded by two sisters, Kate Clarkson and Joanna Horsley, the collective is dedicated to using their artistic talents to evoke joy through their choice of subject matter and color palettes. We will be showing our work at the Brisbane Affordable Art fair from 9 - 11 May at the Brisbane Showgrounds Exhibition Building.

Kate Clarkson is a master of oil paints and showcases a wide array of skills, from crafting breathtaking landscapes and tranquil water scenes to capturing the essence of individuals and animal portraits through her signature use of vivid and vibrant hues. Her work is a visual symphony of color and emotion.

Joanna Horsley, on the other hand, employs fine-line techniques and acrylics to create art that is characterized by sharp lines, and evocative shadows in a minimalist style. Her portfolio is a celebration of iconic Australian beach scenes tropical landscapes and iconic architecture that celebrate Aussie life. Each of her pieces invites the viewer into a familiar, yet strikingly unique world, where the essence of Australia's diverse environments is elegantly captured in a warm and playful pastel palette.

Complementing these two talents is the contemporary artist and sculptor Nettie Sumner, whose sculptural and conceptual collections harness traditional craft and methodologies to evoke the natural environment. Sumner’s pieces form a curated and extraordinary collection of installations and sculptures, where she employs various techniques including hand-knitted copper wire and silver to create experimental and captivating finishes. Each of her creations combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative design to immerse viewers in an enchanting world of texture, light, and form. 

Together, these three artists form a collective that beautifully complements and enhances one another, offering a rich and diverse artistic experience that resonates with the beauty and depth of Australia's natural environment. They are dedicated to sharing their creative vision with the world and are excited to be a part of the Affordable Art Fair to engage with art enthusiasts and collectors alike.
